Savannah Military Lodging
River Street Inn offers the quintessential Savannah experience with a unique sense of style. This five-story guest house on the Savannah Riverfront was originally used to store, grade and export cotton. Built in 1817, the original two stories were built with ballast stone, reinforced by the weight of European ships released to make room for cotton. In 1853, three more floors were added to house cotton from the growing cotton industry. A series of roads, walkways and bridges, known as the Factor's Walk after the workers who packed the cotton, gave merchants international access to move bales of cotton from the bluff. The atrium features antique and reproduction furnishings that match Savannah's historic austerity in its antebellum glory.

History Of Savannah
We offer a limited selection of friendly guest rooms and guests are welcome to bring a dog weighing up to 40 pounds. Some pets are not allowed. A 100 USD non-refundable dog fee will be collected upon check-in. We are happy to offer Heavenly® dog bed, pet adoption kit and mat with food bowls. Allotments of the room are placed under floors designated as pet friendly. Not all room types accept pets. Pets cannot be left unattended in guest rooms. Dogs (except service dogs) are not allowed in any food and beverage outlets (including the pool area, tennis and golf courts).
