For too long I let their cannons fly under my radar. A friend of mine asked me about the AR-15 Sig Sauer M400 Tread, which was built in advance to introduce gun owners to the platform and offer a guide price. It has a cool name and sounds a bit ridiculous, but does Sig Sauer have anything to say? Read on to find out.

A gun that looks pretty for infantry. I still can not decide how I feel about the defense with only the MLOK slot on the front. The M400 is modern, so replacements are rare, but I feel it should be included rather than exclusive. On the other hand, no matter which company I buy from, it does not always include the view in the box, which is always vague. The entry level gun should be ready out of the box.
Good news for the left: the M400 Tread is completely ignorant, including the safety of magazines and QD points on either side of the gun.
I would say this shoe is right out of the box. I tossed one of my red dots in and started running the washing machine while sitting on a chair. It extended the range a bit, but the shooting was easy on target.
I put on an LPVO to test the long way and go to work. I got similar results, but it seems like my shooting could use a little practice outside of 100 yards. I found that the teams were one inch in size and varied regardless of flight. Including the 2-3 inch shooting range, which I mean is still very tight.

I am reluctant to say it is safe for pedestrians because I am not 100% sure. I have a problem with some cheap nuts, but the brass amos are good quality. After a few hundred rounds, the M400 began to operate regardless of the type of ammunition.
It is also worth noting that there are apparently accessories for the M400 to drive. It is modular and designed for people who are learning AR-15s or just getting into them.
The Sig Sauer M400 Tread is a solid gun. Yes, you can find it for less than $ 800. The only thing is it is not particularly great. It is definitely designed for those who want to get their first AR-15 under the hood. It's not perfect, but it's cheap, easy to learn / understand, and it works. At this price point, I'm not sure what you want. I will create it myself for my experience and to learn more about how my gun works, but it is not for everyone. That’s where the Sig Sauer M400 Tread comes in.
